As a Beaker CPI Systems Analyst IV, you will serve as the technical expert for the LIS/Beaker Epic module, providing guidance and direction to others while resolving complex issues. In this role, you will participate in developing strategic plans for systems and applications, make informed recommendations based on deep subject matter expertise, and provide input to management and leadership on software evaluations. You will recommend optimal solutions that align operational and business needs with available technology capabilities.
A caregiver in this position works remotely across the U.S. from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. EST, with on-call responsibilities once every three months for a 7-day period.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Participate in feasibility analysis, estimating, planning, designing, developing, prototyping, building, testing, implementing, quality assurance evaluation and modification of systems/applications.
Provide solutions to enhance system functionality.
Collaborate with system users and other IT professionals to evaluate, plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing optimization and preventative maintenance support for Beaker/LIS systems.
Gather, validate, and translate technological requirements into design and development specifications while providing Beaker/LIS product management.
Analyze, design and build workflows to meet the needs of Beaker/LIS users.
Analyze and diagnose complex Beaker/LIS related system problems, identify root cause, and then solve the problem.
Coordinate high complexity Beaker/LIS projects
Assume on-call responsibilities as required
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related clinical fields (lab, nursing, respiratory therapy, etc.) and 7 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning, and scheduling a major information system project.
OR five years of Beaker/LIS implementation or support experience
OR Associate’s degree and 8 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning, and scheduling a major information system project.
OR Associate’s degree and 6 years of Beaker/LIS experience.
OR High School diploma/GED and 10 years of implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience preferably in a health care or lab environment
OR High School diploma/GED and 8 years of Beaker/LIS experience
Certification/proficiency in one or more Epic applications
Beaker certification/proficiency or other Lab Informatics System certification
For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Senior System Analyst experience in a healthcare setting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
