POSITION SUMMARY: The 3rd shift supervisor for Battleboro DC & Wireway oversees the daily operations of these sites. This role involves supervising a team of warehouse employees, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of inventory, optimizing processes for operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in logistics or warehousing, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse employees to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, shipments, and returns.

  • Oversee the loading, unloading, and storage of goods, ensuring proper handling and organization.

  • Ensure all operations are compliant with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to ensure adequate stock levels.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and assist in the training and development of staff.

  • Optimize workflows and identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of inbound and outbound shipments and maintain up-to-date records of inventory transactions.

  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to minimize accidents and injuries.

  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, such as procurement and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.

  • Address and resolve any operational issues or customer concerns related to distribution activities.

KNOWLWDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for reporting and data analysis.

  • Technology Utilization – Implement and manage inventory management systems (ERP, WMS) to automate processes and improve efficiency.

  • Optimizing processes for safety and efficiency.

  • Experience with Lean, 6S, six-sigma, project management.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field is a plus.

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse management software is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required.

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures; SAP experience is a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • General manufacturing, warehouse, and office.

  • PPE- Ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes
