Job Responsibilities 

As a Bancassurance Sales Associate, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our bancassurance channel by managing relationships with bank clients and promoting our comprehensive suite of insurance products. You will work closely with the bank’s partner to create tailored solutions that meet the financial and insurance needs of their customers, leveraging your strong expertise in insurance and sales to drive results. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about financial services and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

 

The Role Responsibility: 

  • Sales & Relationship Management: Promote life, health and general insurance products to the bank’s clients via face-to-face and digital channels. Deliver high-quality after-sales service and maintain strong relationships with the bank’s clients through proactive outreach and regular follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.  
  • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the bancassurance division. Use data and analytics to monitor performance and continuously improve sales strategies.  
  • Product Knowledge & Advisory:Act as a subject matter expert on a wide range of insurance products, providing valuable and accurate financial advice and guidance to existing bank partner’s customers. Stay up to date with the latest product offerings and market trends to effectively promote solutions that deliver optimal value. Conduct customer needs analysis to identify gaps and ensure that customer needs are met with insurance solutions that align with their financial goals.  
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and expand the bancassurance channel through customer profiling, referrals and leveraging existing relationships with bank partners. Build a pipeline of leads and convert them into long-term clients.  
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Managers and business teams to maximise sales opportunities. Provide feedback to improve product design, marketing and operational processes.  
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure proper advisory procedures and documentation while adhering to all regulatory and legal requirements, business processes and company policies, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales outcomes.  

 

In order to be successful at the role, you must have the following: 

  • 1+ years in any B2C front-line sales role is highly preferred but not mandatory.  Fresh graduates with a keen interest in sales within the financial industry OR Ex-Financial Advisors looking to come back into the industry are welcome to apply also.
  • A diploma or degree in Finance, Business is mandatory  
  • Relevant certifications (i.e., CMFAS modules such as M5, M9, M9A, HI, BCP, PGI) will be advantageous but not mandatory. 
  • A general understanding and interest in insurance products, including life, health, and general insurance.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.  
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to identify opportunities for growth within the bancassurance channel. 
  • Comfortable using digital tools.   
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
