What the Role Entails
System Development: Collaborate within a lean, focused team to develop high-performance systems for capturing and processing real-time data in dynamic trading environments.
Latency Optimization: Utilize open-source technologies to optimize latency-sensitive backend systems, ensuring seamless integration with order management and execution management systems.
Innovation and Enhancement: Identify opportunities for system enhancements, design innovative solutions, and implement new trading applications aimed at reducing latency and improving execution efficiency.
Database Management: Develop and maintain market data and transaction databases, supporting research and analysis initiatives to drive informed trading decisions.
Who We Look For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with graduation expected between January 2026 and December 2027. Undergraduates still pursuing their studies must be available to join before the end of 2025.
Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot is essential. Prior software engineering internship experience in the financial markets would be highly advantageous.
Understanding of real-time risk, concurrent programming, and scalable, high-availability distributed systems is crucial for success in this role.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivery.
Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive projects forward.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in liaising with China-based stakeholders, are essential to ensure smooth coordination and project success.
