Job Summary: This position is in the U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of the Under Secretary, Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs, Office of International Aviation. The incumbent serves as an Aviation Policy Advisor in the Pricing and Multilateral Affairs Division and serves as a Secondee within the ICAO Secretariat in Montreal.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration. To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include: Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, agencies, and international organizations on international aviation policy issues. Experience assisting with preparing briefing papers, memoranda, and otherd ocuments for senior leadership regarding international aviation matters. To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include: Experience independently planning, organizing, and conducting the development of policies on economic and political air transportation issues. Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, agencies, and international organizations on international aviation policy issues. Experience independently preparing briefing papers, memoranda, and other documents for senior leadership regarding international aviation matters.
