Aviation Command and Control Analyst

The Opportunity:

The Aviation Command and Control (AC2) Analyst plays a pivotal role in advancing the United States Marine Corps’ aviation C2 capabilities through application of advanced planning, facilitation, and cross-functional coordination in support of Joint mission success. As a trusted advisor within the organization, the analyst specializes in identifying C2 challenges and implementing innovative solutions that directly support theatre operational plans (OPLANS), the annual Training and Exercise Employment Plan (TEEP), fiscal forecasting, and organizational training and readiness (T&R) goals as outlined in the command’s Mission Essential Task List (METL) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

In this role, you will be responsible for the following coordinating planning efforts amongst higher, adjacent, and subordinate units and staffs to develop effective solutions for all phases and AC2 aspects of operations and TEEP events and providing financial, analytical, technical, and logistical analysis and recommendations during the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) to align resources to mission priorities and task requirements, including concepts of operations that optimize support to the higher organization. You will attend joint, bilateral, and multinational JELC planning conferences, working groups, and site surveys to plan, gather data, and provide resourcing recommendations to Department of War (DoW) attendees on the conduct of military operations and exercises. You’ll provide inputs and recommendations for process improvements and increase efficiency and effectiveness for AC2 and overall aviation operations. You will assist in publishing and periodically updating the TEEP within established deadlines and provide process improvement recommendations and inputs to operations personnel and the commander regarding efficient employment of air defense and AC2 TEEP events. 

The ideal candidate will have prior military operational and staff experience with specific expertise in project management, process improvement, operational planning, and cross-functional team leadership. Experience planning and executing large-scale Joint and Component-level exercises within the INDOPACOM AOR and a deep knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) will be beneficial.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with military AC2 operations

  • 2+ years of experience with military operations and exercise planning, as well as preparation and coordination with adjacent components and higher headquarters commands

  • Knowledge of the Theater Air Ground System of joint AC2

  • Knowledge of the military organization and culture of joint U.S. Forces and partner allies in the INDOPACOM region

  • Knowledge of a variety of DoD networks for information gathering, including NIPR, SIPR, and CENTRIX

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex data analysis topics to senior leaders and respective staffs and work with senior-level staff members at the U.S. Joint or Combined level

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience as a Joint Interface Control Officer

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree a plus

  • Completion of Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course or service equivalent

  • Graduate of a career level professional military education program

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
