About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic, commercially minded leader to join our team as Automotive Dealerships Partnership Director. This role exists to launch and scale a new commercial growth engine through strategic partnerships with automotive dealerships across North America. The incumbent is accountable for defining the dealership partnership vision, building the go-to-market and operating model, and positioning this channel as a scalable and material source of fleet revenue for Element Fleet Essentials.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and own the end-to-end strategy for Element’s automotive dealership partnership channel, including target segments, value propositions, engagement models, and growth roadmap.
  • Establish dealership partnerships as a new line of business with clear commercial objectives, success metrics, and scalability plans.
  • Identify priority dealership groups, OEM-aligned networks, and strategic partners to accelerate fleet opportunity creation.
  • Develop partnership frameworks such as co-sell, referral, embedded fleet offers, and pilot programs aligned to the Essentials strategy.
  • Own dealership-attributed revenue performance, pipeline creation, and opportunity conversion across U.S. and Canadian markets.
  • Design and embed dealership-led fleet motions into Element’s sales and relationship management model.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Sales, Product, Marketing, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Operations to operationalize the dealership channel.
  • Serve as Element’s leadership representative within the automotive dealership and OEM ecosystem.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in automotive partnerships, fleet sales, channel development, or adjacent B2B growth roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience building and scaling a new revenue channel or line of business.
  • Deep understanding of automotive dealership operations, OEM relationships, and fleet acquisition dynamics.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience owning revenue targets and growth initiatives.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% across North America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience leading through influence in matrixed organizations.
  • People leadership experience.
  • Experience representing organizations at industry conferences, dealer forums, or OEM engagements.

Location

Toronto, Ontario

The hiring base salary range for this position is $133,400 to $183,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
