The Finance Digital Transformation team is leading the way in business transformation, incorporating technology solutions like Robotic Process Automation, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. As we promote standardization, simplification, and efficiency improvements across the Finance function, we are looking for an Automation Process Engineer to lead this progression.

The Automation Process engineer finds tech and process solutions for business efficiency, collaborating with all business team members for global automation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively collaborate with Finance subject matter experts to pinpoint and articulate business challenges suitable for Automation solutions.
  • Analyze and measure the efficiency of existing business processes and develop balanced, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements through value stream mapping and re-engineering.
  • Develop the comprehensive process map encompassing various functional processes. Grasp the existing processes, remove inefficiencies and duplications in the current processes, and establish an optimized future process to facilitate the appropriate automation solution.
  • Manage backlog of automation opportunities and continue to look for opportunities that align with program objectives.
  • Conduct a Cost Benefit Analysis to prioritize the key processes requiring automation.
  • Lead monthly operational cadence to evaluate funneled initiatives with the Automation Governance Council, prioritize automation projects through cost benefit analysis, and transition for development.
  • Identify repetitive manual tasks & justify the profit of automation. Focus on driving efficiency improvements at a micro-process level & contributing through diverse automation methods.
  • Define agile execution methodologies and project management practices to be followed by all projects within the program.
  • Gather essential functional/business needs and collaborate with Solution Architects and developers to ensure timely completion of Automation projects.
  • Ensure requirements are detailed, traceable, and testable through to implementation.
  • Advocate for Automation by collaborating with different departments to inform and advocate for the benefits and efficiencies that automation can bring.
  • Coordinate project teams comprising of internal and external technical and functional experts based on budget, scope, and timeline.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of multiple interdependent projects by working directly with global technical teams.
  • Coordinate execution across multiple projects and drive shared approach and outcomes tracking.
  • Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and operational teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required.
  • Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project.
  • Handle communication with collaborators and report progress at different levels of the organization, including leadership and executives.
  • Verify the quality of deliverables to align with collaborator expectations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems / finance or any other relevant field

Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience on RPA tools and cognitive platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Process mining etc. UiPath experience is needed.

- 1 - 3 years of Finance and Accounting domain is preferable.

  • Familiarity with Scrum / Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of JIRA is beneficial.
  • 2-3 years’ experience leading and handling project teams is preferable.
  • Experience with business analytics software, Microsoft Power Suite, or other finance automation software like Agentic AI and GenAI is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with Workflow tools like Workiva, Dodeca, and different Blackline modules; having experience in their development and implementation is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to quickly learn and analyze the requirement, terms and propose a viable solution.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and/or related business process excellence trainings are a plus.
  • Advanced Excel is a must.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Reliable change catalyst with shown proactiveness, facilitation & interpersonal skills; displays assurance; confirmed capability to collaborate effectively with & sway individuals at all levels.
  • Established capability in leadership; showcased skills in delivering impactful presentations and educating across all organizational levels.
  • Clear & strategic problem solver: strong problem-solving skills; good business insight; recognizes & addresses systemic issues, leverages & shares standards.
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to reason through complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risks.
