We are now looking for:

Automation Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Automation Engineer to oversee electrical and automation projects, primarily focusing on contractor supervision and client interactions. This role involves minimal programming and limited travel, with a strong emphasis on controlling subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with specifications, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve electrical diagrams and technical documentation prepared by subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors during the installation and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of electrical and automation specifications, including layout development and risk analysis.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams on automation systems, graphical interfaces, and operational logic.
  • Assist in preparing technical specifications for installation and electrical connection requests.
  • Support the sales team with technical input for new offers and plant extension requests.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to update electrical diagrams and documentation after testing.
  • Offer post-sales technical assistance and troubleshooting related to automation hardware and electrical equipment.
  • Contribute to quality assurance checks on switchboards and junction boxes.
  • Support project managers with the integration of new electrical machines.
  • Provide on-site support during installation, I/O checks, and plant commissioning.

PROFILE

  • Diploma or Degree in technical fields (Electrical or Automation)
  • Professional experience of at least 2 years in a similar position in the case of a university degree; at least 5 years in the case of a high school diploma
  • Proven experience in automation, PLC, or control systems – SIEMENS S7-1200/1500, TIA Portal…
  • Strong understanding of electrical diagrams, technical documentation. knowledge of Electric CAD and EPLAN.
  • Good knowledge in MS Office and MS Project
  • English and Italian languages (advanced level)
  • Ability to provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation hardware and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal programming involved.
