Auditor, Marketing

Columbia, MO Full time

Whether you come from a background in compliance, operations, marketing support, or a related field, you can be successful in this role. We don’t require a specific degree or experience, but we’re looking for translatable skills and relevant expertise. We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!

About the Role:

As an Auditor on our Marketing team, you’ll play a key role in strengthening the controls that support how we communicate with borrowers and represent our brand. You’ll plan, conduct, and present independent audits, helping teams understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made. You’ll partner closely with business units to learn their processes, recommend solutions, and follow through until resolutions are complete. Since our team audits both in Columbia and at Remote/Branch locations, you’ll take a few trips each year to connect with teammates onsite and ensure consistency across the organization.

It’s meaningful, detail-oriented work—and you’ll be part of a supportive team that’s committed to getting better together.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:

  • Developing, planning, and conducting independent audits related to marketing activities.

  • Working with stakeholders to understand process flows, controls, and opportunities to strengthen the control environment.

  • Presenting audit findings clearly and professionally, offering practical recommendations and partnering on next steps.

  • Following up on open findings to ensure resolutions are completed and documented.

  • Assisting with policy scoping and helping prepare information for external exam requests.

  • Traveling to branch and remote locations a few times a year to conduct onsite audits.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed activity) to help build a strong team and culture.

About You:

  • You bring a dedicated work ethic and a high attention to detail.

  • You’re organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills help you explain findings in a clear, supportive way.

  • You adapt easily to shifting priorities and enjoy working in a highly cooperative team setting.

  • You deliver exceptional customer service and build great working relationships across the company.

  • You’re tech-savvy and comfortable navigating tools needed for an internet-based company.

  • You have a general understanding of AI and are curious about how it can support your work.

  • Preferred: Experience in a marketing role or marketing-related auditing and/or familiarity with mortgage loan processes.

  • Required: Ability to travel 2–3 times per year and maintain regular, predictable attendance.

We always strive to provide friendly service to military homebuyers and their families. And we always seek to lift up people and communities across the country.

We’re so glad you’re here checking out this opportunity! If this role gets you excited but you’re worried you don’t check every box – don't sweat it. We’re more interested in what you can bring to the team than a perfect checklist. If you’re passionate, driven, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
