YOUR ROLE
The Internal Audit (IA) Senior is responsible for performing audit engagements (financial, operational, compliance, and SOX audits), including procedures over planning, risk assessment, test work, workpapers, audit conclusions, and reporting.
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Prepare audit workpapers in accordance with Internal Audit Standards
- Summarize audit findings and develop clear, concise, and value-added audit observations
- Identify control gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
- Maintain effective communications with client management
- Effectively handle special assignments on diverse audit projects
- Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high energy level, influencing and motivating team members
- Exhibit teamwork skills and abilities and promote quality
- Exhibit characteristics of professional excellence through continuing professional education
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting, financial, and Audit
- At least 2 years with public accounting firm
- Remainder in internal audit for large multi-national company
- Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Business/Economics or other relevant subject
- Knowledge in CTPAT and AEO requirements
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- Certifications preferred: CPA or CIA
- Language Competency: Advanced English required, fluent verbally and written
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally up to 25%
- High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of audit methods and techniques
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and requirements
- Effective and concise business writing skills
- High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with audit team members and clients
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in use of the Workiva online tool platform and Electronic Work Papers (preferred)
- SAP experience (preferred)
