Job Description:
This role is responsible for overseeing assigned areas of audit work acting as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), and executing on the audit strategy for Lines of Business (LOBs), primarily of Global Markets FICC. LOBs include Rates, FX, Credit, Mortgages, Munis, and Commodities. BAC trades a wide array of products in each of these businesses in a market making capacity, include cash securities, futures, and derivatives. The experience may not come from a traditional audit background, but rather from transferrable skills from a first- or second-line function associated with Sales and Trading desks. This role will leverage a detailed working knowledge of the functions of a market making, or debt origination and lending linked to GM products (e.g. securitization markets), for example, while working in a trading capacity, as part of a risk management function, or as a Global Markets product controller or GM Finance role.
Familiarity with FICC market regulations, exchanges/execution venues, clearing and settlement processes is preferred. Key responsibilities include driving risk-based auditing by defining scope and test procedures to evaluate the control environment in conformance with audit policies, assessing issues for business impact and recommending severity ratings, drafting audit reports, and managing business partner relationships. Job expectations include fostering an inclusive work environment, and mentoring team members.
