Description of Duties and Tasks
Assists Multimedia team with live media event setups and breakdowns, including video productions, video conferencing (Zoom), lighting, and audio (PA) support.
Assists faculty/staff with technical issues in media classrooms and multipurpose facilities during live events, including multi-camera live-streaming and multi-room conferences.
Troubleshooting of technology in classrooms and multipurpose facilities, referring technical and non-technical questions to the appropriate departments.
Appropriately identifies and coordinates second tier requests when special technology requests are needed
Adheres to Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA) and other federal and state regulations regarding privacy.
Provides feedback on frequent support requests for training opportunities.
Communicates and coordinates with internal departments.
Knowledge
Customer service principles and practices.
Technical support practices, AV standards and protocols in regards to supporting faculty/staff in-person and in virtual environments.
Computer applications including (but not limited to) Windows, Mac, Internet browsers, smart phones, tablets, and multimedia equipment.
