Audio Engineer (m/f/x)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Audio Engineer within the 3M PELTOR R&D Department in Värnamo, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse experts across the globe.
In this role, you will make an impact by:
Working closely with colleagues in the R&D team to develop and maintain 3M PELTOR protective communication products used by professionals worldwide.
Driving the development of new and innovative audio solutions that will shape the future of our 3M PELTOR portfolio.
Contributing across the full product lifecycle-from early concept and prototyping to verification, industrialisation, and commercial launch.
Being part of an integrated global organisation where R&D, marketing, quality, and manufacturing collaborate closely at the same site to deliver high‑performance solutions.
Your Skills and Expertise
To be successful from day one, we are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
Knowledge of audio signal processing for low‑power system design
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Sound and Vibration Engineering or a related discipline
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Experience with embedded firmware design
Understanding of electro‑acoustic design and verification
Strong team orientation with a collaborative and proactive mindset
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Understanding of electronic hardware design
Knowledge of communication products and systems
Experience in audio/acoustic testing and verification

Working pattern - Full time, on-site
