Athletic Facilities and Event Management Intern

Description:

Candidates will have a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the management of NCAA Division II athletic facilities. Candidates will be involved in all phases of facility management, gameday management, as well as day-to-day operations of the athletic department.

Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work as game manager for any of the University’s 22 athletic programs.

  • Assist in the coordination and production of internal & external special events.

  • Aid in the production of athletic gameday setups, transitions, and breakdowns.

  • Promote student employee success through the supervision and training of student support staff.

  • Scheduling student support staff, maintaining payment records, and communicating event needs with student support staff.

  • Perform indoor and outdoor facility upkeep and maintenance.

  • Operate scorekeeping equipment, AV equipment, and limited heavy machinery.

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Compensation:

The compensation of this position is $25,200 which will be paid bi-weekly and includes an optional University meal plan. This internship does NOT include any fringe benefits such as housing or health insurance.

Duration:

10 months: August 2025 – June 2026. Exact start & end dates are flexible.
