Nova Scotia Health is rolling out GoLive 2 of its new clinical information system, One Person One Record (OPOR), powered by Oracle Health Cerner. Adoption Coaches will provide at the elbow (ATE) support to clinicians and staff during go-live and stabilization, helping users navigate workflows, resolve issues in real time, and ensure a smooth transition.
This is a short term, high impact project supporting one of the largest healthcare system changes in Nova Scotia.
Role Summary – What You’ll Do
$100/hour all-inclusive. Travel logistics and accommodation are your responsibility. Must be willing to travel to and stay in Halifax for the assignment
As an Adoption Coach, you will:
- Provide onsite or virtual, real time support to clinicians and staff during go-live
- Answer workflow and documentation questions in Cerner
- Identify whether issues are training related or technical, and escalate when needed
- Reinforce best practices and support safe, efficient system use
- Capture recurring questions and issues in the ticketing system
Key Dates & Timeframe (Important)
- Go‑Live 2 support window: May 9 – May 23, 2026
- Possible extension: May–June 2026. Additional go-lives may follow based on need and performance
Required Training & Orientation
- Pre go-live orientation (8 hours total):
- 4 hours on‑site in Halifax
- 4 hours asynchronous (self-paced)
- Arrival requirement:
- Must be in Halifax at least 48 hours before their first scheduled shift
Location & Work Setup
- Primary location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
- Work setting:
- On‑site in hospitals, clinics, and administrative areas
- Coaches may be assigned to specific sites or move between sites based on need TBD
Shift & Coverage Expectations
- Go-live support includes day and night coverage, depending on site and clinical area
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts, not to exceed 80 hours in the 2 weeks.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts is important during the go-live window.
Ideal Background
You’re a strong fit if you have:
- Familiarity with acute care clinical workflows (nursing, providers, pharmacy, lab, DI)
- Comfort providing fast, in the moment coaching in busy clinical environments
- Clear communication skills and a calm, professional approach under pressure
- Hands on experience supporting Oracle Health Cerner during go-lives or hypercare preferred
Other Requirements
- Valid driver's license to get between sites
- As part of onboarding, Healthtech conducts background checks and you will be asked to provide ID verification.
