Delivering for our clients in a highly regulated industry means that all our transformation efforts need to be developed and implemented in compliance with our risk and quality standards - to ensure that we satisfy the expectations of our clients, the regulators and the market itself.The Assurance Technology Digital Enablement and Risk & Quality support functions within Assurance Digital and Transformation (ADT) are responsible for delivering key activities that enable the implementation of technology while identifying, controlling, and monitoring technology risks in support of the wider Assurance practice.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and proactive Senior Manager, ideally with strong knowledge of internal processes, procedures, digital implementations, and ISQM 1, to work closely with key stakeholders to ensure new technologies are implemented successfully and in line with our risk and quality standards.
This exciting role provides the opportunity to work directly with very experienced partners and their teams across a diverse range of technological resources. Within PwC, technological resources covers a broad range of tools and initiatives including:
global and local digital tools,
business unit innovations, and
external third party tools and service providers.
Key areas of focus of the Assurance Technology Digital Enablement and Risk & Quality Senior Manager include:
Lead the strategy, planning and execution of NGA Change Management activities in territory - including leadership alignment, stakeholder management, skills and behaviours, and sustainability, as well as, ensuring impacted stakeholders successfully adopt the change, while forming new habits and ways of working.
Lead a portfolio of Digital Enablement projects - working closely with key stakeholders to deliver and support the adoption of globally developed technology.
Maintain an inventory of technological resources and execute an annual plan to assess the reliability of the technological resources utilised.
Risk Assessment - Assess risks related to the use of Assurance technological resources that support our system of quality management.
Compliance – Design, implement, operate and monitor controls for these resources that align with PwC Technology Risk frameworks (NAST, QMSE) and support ISQM 1 compliance.
To deliver the above - the Assurance Technology Risk & Quality Manager would be expected to:
Prepare and execute territory level change and implementation strategy.
Understand the key considerations to be delivered when implementing any new technology (Risk Assessment, Methodology, Training).
Build relationships, collaborate and work effectively with global, EMEA and territory functional area teams in supporting territory implementation and adoption activities (change, training, comms, adoption and sustainability).
Perform a leading role in identifying, controlling, and monitoring technology risk within Assurance practice.
Manage periodic reviews as per global frameworks; including but not limited to NAST and QMSE.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to demonstrate critical compliance with PwC Risk Frameworks and ISQM 1 requirements.
Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that processes and controls are followed. Provide practical guidance to help stakeholders navigate our internal processes and frameworks.
Maintain a proper balance between business and operational risk.
Contribute to the on-going communication and education programs required to maintain technology risk and quality objectives in Assurance.
Provide support to the PwC internal and Regulatory reviews.
Requirements:
A minimum of eight years of experience at a Big 4 firm or another international professional services firm.
Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent from a recognised international accounting institution.
Prior experience in a Digital Enablement or IT Risk Assurance role.
Strong understanding of ISQM 1 at minimum - knowledge of NAST, QMSE, and other relevant PwC frameworks would be an advantage.
Understanding of the Assurance practice - PwC’s internal processes, procedures and systems and knowledge of the various territory leadership, engagement and communication channels.
Business transformation and change management experience is preferred but not required.
Demonstrate strong internal controls and audit knowledge with prior experience of reviewing and/or establishing business processes and controls.
Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of, or the ability to learn, the regulatory requirements involving the documentation, review, retention of evidence, including reproduction thereof for regulatory purposes.
A self-starter with an innovative mindset who is proactive and driven in managing a job to completion, with experience functioning under pressure to meet deadlines.
Excellent leadership and team management skills - working proactively with others towards a goal with the ability to navigate both internal and external hurdles through change and risk.
Strong project management and organisational skills. Very strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to explain complexity in a clear, succinct way, providing advice and recommendations to influence decision making across stakeholders at all levels.
Credibility and presence to lead and actively participate at meetings with senior stakeholders - not afraid to push back or challenge the status quo.
Strong interpersonal skills, openness and ability to make own connections.
Self-critical, with a view to always improve processes.
