Based in Singapore, we’re looking for an Associate UX Designer to join our UX & Design team. At Viki, we believe that empathy is key to creating meaningful products and experiences for our users. To better understand our users and their problems, UX research is an integral part of our design process from start to end. 

Joining Viki, you’ll be working on improving the experience for our global audience by collaborating with Product, Business, Marketing, Engineering teams to understand, research and translate requirements into products, across multiple platforms (Web, iOS, Android, TV apps). Projects range from improving the ads viewing experience, improving how people can manage their accounts, to improving how people interact with each other in Viki.

The UX team has weekly UX sharing sessions where we share all our findings and learnings with each other, helping each other grow both as an individual and as a team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Mapping out the different user journeys in more details

  • Storytelling chops, bringing these user stories and insights to life

  • Driven by both Quantitative and Qualitative data, design and analyze interactions to support key project metrics growth metrics

  • Developing user flows, UI specs, adopting Figma AI features and Figma MAKE mock-ups

  • Creating design prototypes, micro-interactions and transitions

  • Maintain design systems and facilitate the creation of components with engineers

  • Conducting usability tests

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Interaction Design, Product Design, or a related field a plus

  • 1+ years of experience as a professional UX Designer for consumer products a plus

  • Creative. See things differently and come up with solutions that solve problems

  • Great attention to detail and organization skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with both technical and nontechnical people, strong opinions loosely held

  • Experience working in start-up and/or media company environments

  • Experience working in an international company and/or love of global entertainment or cultures
