The Digital Banking position in Brazil will assist the treasury team at Western Union in implementing settlement flows and cash control for the digital bank project.

Role Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for daily monitoring of the balances in the operational accounts ensuring that these accounts have sufficient balance to settle all inbound transactions made by Wallet customers and also monitor the outbound transaction flow reallocating any excess balance to a financial account looking maximize returns through overnight financial investments.
  • Responsibilities would also include cash control, generating transaction reports, analyzing trends in operations (inbound/outbound), managing and controlling the bank fees charged to WU Wallet and WU Broker account, organizing the daily operational payments, and providing support for treasury products.
  • You will then take on the responsibility of testing and ensuring, in a UAT environment, that the desired functionalities planned by the product team work properly.
  • You will participate in development meetings and play a key role in overseeing the entire launch of the wallet inside WU Bank.
  • "Piloto de Reserva" - Your responsibilities will include monitoring WU Bank's cash position and ensuring the settlement of financial obligations for the Western Union Bank and Broker with clearinghouses and other entities.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or be a student in Finance, Accounting, Business Administrator or related and at least 2 years of experience in a similar Treasury role within financial services or multinational companies (desirable).
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is required, as well as MS Office programs. Power BI or Tableau knowledge is a plus.
  • Pilotos de Reserva Certificate
  • Good knowledge in the Brazilian Financial System, including a understanding of SPB components such as the messages SEL, LDL, LTR, STR, PAG, GEN, and others, as well as with SPI.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Teamwork oriented. Results driven.
  • Great interpersonal and communication.
  • written and verbal English (intermediate level).
