The Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Product Support Engineering team is seeking an Associate-Level Technical Data Designer to support our F-18 program in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

The successful candidate for this position will develop, analyze, collect, and store various system support technical data elements and specifications to evaluate and make recommendations.   You will provide recommendations on product supportability and establish operation maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for multiple equipment subsystems.

This role identifies and analyzes logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and reports. You will determine spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for multiple customers under a single contract type. In addition, you will prepare and maintain technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/ components.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair requirements, procedures and instructions

  • Collect, research and evaluate source data to develop wiring technical publications according to specifications

  • Develop multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for fielded equipment minor systems or sub systems

  • Collaborate with program management, engineering and other wiring authors to accomplish tasks

  • Participate in virtual working group meetings

  • Some travel may be required

  • May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance

  • Experience with avionics and aircraft systems

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings

  • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associates degree or higher, or 5 years' related work experience

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft avionics maintenance

  • Experience with mission systems, radar, aircraft electronics and/or avionics

  • RADAR or Electronic Warfare experience

  • F-18 Platform experience

Summary pay range: $73,100 - $98,900
