Job Summary:

The Emerging Systems team is responsible for helping the firm explore new business models through design, test and delivery of technology platforms via iterative Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).

The role involves collaborating with technology partners including vendors to implement new cloud-native applications, and applications using block-chain technology. As part of solution delivery, you will collaborate with development teams to ensure software solutions meet coding standards and other IT teams on internal integration. You will also work with a team of system designers and analysts who have a deep understanding of capital markets industry use cases and passionate about using technologies to solve industry-specific problems at-scale.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support project implementation activities, including technical requirements analysis, solution architecture, system documentation, software deployment and application integration within enterprise environments

• Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy cloud applications and integrate them with internal services, and ensuring application meets architecture, security and network requirements

• Uphold compliance with organization policies and standards including the development methodology

• Conduct system tests and provide operational support to business users during testing phases

• Investigate and resolve application design defects and technical issues

• Carry out production support and BAU tasks

• Participate in the design, development, and deployment of blockchain‑based or tokenization solutions, supporting both Proof‑of‑Concept and production implementations

• Conduct technical analysis for distributed ledger technologies (DLT), smart contract interaction models, and token lifecycle workflows (issuance, transfer, settlement, redemption)

• Integrate blockchain components with enterprise applications, APIs, custody systems, payment rails, and internal services

• Support performance testing, security assessments, and operational readiness for blockchain or tokenized asset platforms

• Maintain system documentation for smart contracts, DLT architectures, node deployment procedures, and related infrastructure

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent working experience.
• 1-5 years of cloud application development, implementation or deployment experience, Proficient in programming (e.g. Java, JavaScript or Python)
• Knowledge of major public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei.
• Hands-on practical experience deploying applications using cloud technologies, such as compute, containerization, storage, network and database
• Good understanding and experience in DevOps / CI/CD practices and tools (e.g. Jira, Git, Jenkins etc.).
• Experience of working within a structured project management framework, adopting agile and/or waterfall software delivery principles.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience architecting / developing applications within the financial services or capital markets industry is an advantage.
• Experience with frontend development frameworks (e.g. React, Material UI) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of blockchain foundations such as consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, wallets, cryptographic primitives, and token standards (e.g., ERC‑20, ERC‑721, ERC‑1400 or equivalent)
• Exposure to major enterprise blockchain or DLT platforms (e.g., Hyperledger Fabric, R3 Corda, Quorum, Polygon, Ethereum‑based networks)
• Experience or understanding of tokenization workflows—digital assets, stablecoins, securities tokens, digital identity, or distributed settlement models
• Practical experience in developing or integrating smart contracts (any language/framework is acceptable: Solidity, DAML, Chaincode, etc.) is an advantage
• Familiarity with blockchain node deployment, key management, API gateways, and monitoring tools is an advantage
