We are seeking a dynamic and motivated contributor to join our team at our San Francisco office.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for someone ambitious who is ready to gain hands-on experience building the future of secure, enterprise-grade AI. This role will involve working on a focused, impactful project within our Agentic AI Platform team, where you will help create the foundational services that allow AI agents to operate intelligently and at scale. We are looking for a problem solver who is passionate about AI and enjoys working in a collaborative, distributed team. 

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Serverless & Microservices: Building and debugging scalable application logic using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and event-driven services like SQS/SNS.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automating the deployment and management of cloud resources using tools like Terraform, AWS CDK.
  • CI/CD & Observability: Supporting automated deployment pipelines and monitoring system health through AWS CodePipeline and CloudWatch.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with Engineering, Product Management, and Security teams to solve technical and non-technical challenges.
  • Engineering Best Practices: Participating in test-driven development, design sessions, and code reviews for mission-critical AI infrastructure.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026.
  • Solid programming skills in a language like Java, Kotlin, Python for building backend logic with a specific interest Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to provision and manage AWS resources.
  • Foundational knowledge of microservices and REST APIs, with an understanding of how to implement them using cloud-native patterns like AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
  • An understanding of how backend systems connect to user experiences, with some familiarity in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React.
  • Ability to apply data structures and algorithms to solve complex challenges in Cloud-AI integration, focusing on scalable processing and efficient data retrieval within the AWS ecosystem.

Preferred Skills

  • A deep interest in building distributed systems on AWS, with a focus on Integrations and AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with Web Services, Event Driven Frame work which helps to deliver scalable products.
  • Familiarity developing containerized applications and deploying them to Kubernetes on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • You’ve built, broken, and rebuilt software applications, demonstrating creative thinking and a desire to build real-world products.

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in San Francisco Bay Area. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$115,000$158,400 USD
