Associate Research Engineer

In the role of Associate Research Engineer on our GN research team, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer.

Position Summary:

Junior specialist with basic understanding of relevant research topics

tasked with delivering results that contribute to specific projects. Responsible for day-to-day execution of planned research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research and analysis to develop new technologies and solutions
  • Displays curiosity and the ability to resolve the more common challenges
  • Applies the expertise in work, however, is dependent on others for direction and supervision
  • Conducts scientific experiments using traditional methodologies commonly reported in the scientific literature of their respective research discipline
  • Documenting and presenting research findings to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Education at Master or Bachelor level in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and techniques
  • Work in an office and lab environment

It is beneficial to have experience with:

  • Commercial hearing aids or other regulated medical audio devices, including fitting software and electro‑acoustic verification frameworks. 
  • Perceptual testing methodologies, user studies, or close collaboration with audiologists and hearing care professionals. 

Pay Transparency Notice:

  • The target annual base salary for this position can range from $75,000.00 - $110,000.00, in addition to a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of the fiscal year-end.
  • Compensation for roles at GN depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience
  • To remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation and holidays
