About the Role

At MYOB, we focus on helping businesses succeed. Our Mid-Market Services team plays a meaningful role in delivering high-quality ERP implementations that build real value for our customers. 

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager for a 6-month contract with our Mid-Market Consulting Services team. This role offers an emerging project manager a chance to work in a structured delivery setting. The position involves ERP implementations and consulting projects while developing skills for full project ownership. 

As an Associate Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of implementation projects from sales handover through to launch and closure. You’ll work closely with customers, consultants, and internal collaborators to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to commercial expectations.


What You'll Be Doing

    • Deliver projects following MYOB’s Methodology, ensuring alignment with governance standards and delivery processes
    • Support the transition from sales to delivery, ensuring clarity of scope, assumptions, and success criteria
    • Develop and manage project plans and schedules, coordinating activities across internal teams and customer collaborators
    • Actively handle project financials, including forecasting, utilisation, and margin performance
    • Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, taking proactive action to keep delivery on track
    • Manage scope changes, including the preparation and control of change orders
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project data in delivery systems to support reporting and visibility
    • Prepare and present project updates, including status, risks, and financials, to collaborators and governance forums
    • Build positive relationships with customers and internal teams to support successful delivery outcomes
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery practices, tools, and templates

About You

    • Experience in project management or project coordination roles
    • Experience delivering projects in a consulting, technology, or ERP environment (preferred)
    • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise several tasks simultaneously
    • Commercial awareness, with an understanding of scope, budget, and project profitability
    • Confidence working with collaborators at all levels, including customers and cross-functional teams
    • A proactive attitude toward resolving issues, with the ability to manage uncertainty and change
    • Demonstrated strong communication and relationship-building skills 

A recognised project management certification (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is desirable.
