POSITION SPECIFICS
Summary of Job:
Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, in Hershey, PA, announces an open faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor to join the Division of Comparative Medicine. The applicant must have a MD degree and significant experience in microsurgery and animal science. The Division of Comparative Medicine is newly established within the Department of Surgery to support animal-based research. The Division collaborates closely with surgeons, cardiologists, veterinarians, and commercial partners. The position will focus on research and hands on training of microsurgical skills.
The successful candidate shall have a proven track record in biomaterials development, including a track record of successful funding from the National Institutes of Health, and a strong publication record in this area. The candidate shall have experience as a principal investigator managing a multi-disciplinary team.
