Neuberger Specialty Finance is a rapidly growing group within Neuberger Alternatives with approximately $4.5 billion in AUM. The Neuberger Specialty Finance platform is focused on asset-based finance (“ABF”) opportunities that are backed by cashflow-producing financial or hard assets.
The Specialty Finance Fundraising and Marketing Associate will be part of and work closely with the 16-person Specialty Finance investment team in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. The Fundraising and Marketing Associate will serve as a key point of contact between the investment team and the firm’s global sales team. The position provides an opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing business with significant career momentum and growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop deep understanding of the Specialty Finance platform to create and maintain marketing collateral across all Specialty Finance products and strategies
Produce regular investor reporting; create and manage a position-level database to facilitate such reporting
Assist with project management for ongoing fundraising efforts, including completing requests for proposals (“RFPs”), due diligence questionnaires, creating and maintaining data rooms and providing frequent fundraising, portfolio and pipeline updates to the global sales team
Liaise with investment teams, sales, legal, finance, operations, and compliance teams to:
address investor questions and requests, including cashflow modeling
manage the closing process for new and existing investors
draft legal documents with outside counsel
Join calls with investment team and prospects and spearhead any relevant follow-ups
Contribute to writing quarterly / annual and other market letters to Limited Partners
Take on ad hoc projects and support other investment team members with marketing-related projects as needed
Qualifications:
Excellent academic credentials with at least 3+ years of work experience; experience in credit preferred
Entrepreneurial inclination, strong work ethic with a willingness to “roll up their sleeves”
High intellectual curiosity to learn the asset class and business
Strong quantitative, marketing and visual presentation abilities
Flexibility to take on various projects and responsibilities as needed
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Initiative and creativity in approach to problem solving and process management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly skilled at PowerPoint presentations and Excel; willing to learn internal systems and databases
Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced and high-intensity environment
Team player with a collaborative attitude and a desire to contribute to the growth of the business
Ability to manage projects from beginning to end and meet critical deadlines

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
