Are you a high-energy engineer ready to move from the classroom to the hangar? Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Planning & Control team. This is a high-impact, introductory role designed for an analytical problem-solver who wants to own the efficiency of world-class aerospace production.
In this role, you aren't just a face in the crowd—you are a process architect. You will be charged with studying product output, researching new manufacturing methods, and implementing Lean/5S strategies that directly improve how we build and customize heavy aircraft.

Your Working Environment:
On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government and regulatory regulations
Maintains product and process database by entering and storing data.

Analyze manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

Planning & Control Team member for industrial transfers, new project standups, and process development.
Designs and develops new processes and implements them by training and guiding technicians and support personnel.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
Your Boarding Pass:(Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or other Engineering degree or equivalent experience
Zero years of experience.
Experience operating within an integrated manufacturing system, such as SAP.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing design requirements
Ability to use computers, and associated hardware and software (MS Office especially Excel and Word), SAP (Module MM, PP, Outlook),
Preferred Education/Skills:
Experience with design programs such as CAD and Revit
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a heavy aircraft customization or production environment.
Familiarity with CAD, and design technology.
Travel Required:

Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Intermittently
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. N/A

Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
