The Associate Manager, Project Management, Products is responsible for delivering In Air new product development and maintenance projects through the full End‑to‑End (E2E) process. This role leads cross‑functional and regional teams by establishing and maintaining integrated project plans, ensuring scope, deliverables, success criteria, timelines, and risks are clearly defined, owned, and executed.

This global role supports new product development, claims or existing business maintenance, and battleground business priorities to drive growth, profitability, sustainability, cost savings, and supply continuity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution (Primary Focus)

  • Lead cross‑functional teams (RD&E, Packaging, Process Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory) to deliver moderate‑ to high‑complexity projects from ideation through commercialization.
  • Define, maintain, and document integrated project plans including scope, milestones, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, critical path, and ownership.
  • Manage and maintain key project documentation such as risk registers, technical specifications, and action trackers.
  • Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and deviations; lead mitigation, trade‑off, and escalation discussions when required.
  • Facilitate structured problem‑solving and decision‑making forums to resolve project breakdowns and maintain delivery commitments.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Lead and facilitate cross‑functional meetings, prepare materials, document outcomes, and track action items.
  • Ensure consistent, transparent, and timely communication across functions and regions through visual performance management tools and governance readouts.
  • Prepare and lead project reviews with key stakeholders and sponsors.

Business & Strategic Support

  • Support battleground and priority business initiatives, including daily product maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with regional and global business teams to scope and support new business and growth opportunities.
  • Apply strong business and category understanding to optimize project outcomes aligned with strategic goals.

People & Capability Development

  • Participate in the Project Management Community of Practice.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior project managers and team members.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies

Must Have

  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline OR Master’s degree with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of:
    • Project management experience OR
    • Experience in development and commercialization of consumer products (FMCG).
  • Proven project management experience in:
    • New product development and/or product changes
    • End‑to‑end delivery from concept to launch
  • Experience managing projects across functions and regions.
  • Ability to deliver new ideas to market within complex, international environments.

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies

  • Experience within FMCG, with openness to candidates from Pharma or Tobacco (MNC) environments.
  • Exposure to cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Experience in aerosol and/or liquid products, packaging development, or registration activities (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Experience working closely with Marketing and managing project budgets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑influencing skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, complexity, and multiple priorities simultaneously.

Job Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Full‑time, office‑based role.
  • Global collaboration across time zones; night calls approximately twice per week.
  • Travel: approximately once per quarter.

Organization & Career Path

  • Reports to a local manager and works within a team of Project Managers, Chemists, Packaging Engineers, and Process Engineers.
  • Part of an RD&E organization of approximately 35–40 employees.
  • Career progression within RD&E to Manager level, with opportunities to broaden experience into other functions such as Supply Chain or Regulatory Affairs.
