What You Will Get To Do:
- Assist in the preparation and/or review of daily, weekly, and monthly NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations for assigned funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and client agreements.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records.
Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and other ad-hoc reporting for clients. - Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, legal, and compliance, to resolve issues and optimize processes. - Participate in the onboarding of new clients and funds, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate setup.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements within the fund accounting department.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Support audit requests and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in fund accounting, with a strong understanding of various investment vehicles (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, mutual funds). - 1+ year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred.
- Proven knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Sungard Investran, SS&C HiPortfolio) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
