Associate Maintenance Engineer

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for Maintenance Engineer at our Coatesville location. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the improvement of the life span of the sites’ equipment through condition monitoring, analysis, and improvement activities.

Summary of Responsibilities: 

• Conduct predictive maintenance activities
• Utilize tools such as Ultrasonic Emissions (UE), Infrared (IR) tools, and Motor Circuit Analysis
• Provide electrical and mechanical technical guidance and expertise to management, engineers, crafts people, and coordinators in the plant to improve and extend the life of the assets
• Analyze data to recommend changes to the monitoring programs, routes, frequency of inspection and type of equipment being monitored
• Analyze delay analysis reports to look for electrical and mechanical opportunities for improvements.
• Analyze repetitive failures and improve the design to reduce or eliminate failures
• Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and design maintenance programs for all new equipment
• Perform RCA and Failure Scene Investigations as directed through departmental leadership
• Provide information to asset management meetings to assist planners and schedulers to help prioritize electrical and mechanical maintenance work based on data.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in engineering, technical field or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 years engineering experience in heavy industry or mining/mineral processing operations.
