The Associate Legal supports the Legal function by providing timely and practical legal assistance across day-to-day operations. The role focuses on legal research, drafting, regulatory monitoring, and advisory support to Counsel/Senior Counsel, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position works closely with business units to help identify and mitigate legal risks effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of day-to-day legal inquiries from business units across the organization.
  • Provide legal analysis and preliminary legal opinions to Counsel/Senior Counsel on operational and regulatory matters.
  • Conduct legal research on statutory, regulatory, and case law issues to support legal advice and decision-making.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents, including agreements, internal policies, and correspondence.
  • Support negotiations where required, under the supervision of Counsel/Senior Counsel.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and industry developments and provide regular updates to the Legal team.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of legal systems, documentation, and processes.
  • Assist in identifying legal risks and propose practical mitigation approaches.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Indonesia.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, or a regulated industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Solid understanding of legal systems, statutory interpretation, and case law.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft clear and accurate legal documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and well-organized working style.
  • Tactful, professional, and able to operate with a high level of discretion

  • Ability to identify legal issues and analyze risks pragmatically.
  • Developing influencing and stakeholder management skills.
