Position Title: Associate Lead, Planning Symbol Team, M2
Department: Specification Technology

Reports To: Manager, Specification Technology
Shift: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Role Purpose:
The Associate Lead – Planning Symbol Team is responsible for leading a group of Revit Designers while actively contributing to project execution. This role combines advanced technical expertise in Revit family creation (70%) with team leadership and coordination (30%). The Associate Lead ensures the development of high-quality Revit families, adherence to BIM standards, and effective collaboration across engineering, product, and specification teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Contribution – Project Delivery (70%)
Develop and maintain complex parametric Revit families representing product offerings. Ensure Revit families meet performance, usability, and BIM standards. Support integration of models into planning symbol platforms and specification tools. Perform quality validation and technical reviews before release. Maintain and enhance central libraries of reusable Revit families. Collaborate with product management, engineering, and BIM teams to understand requirements. Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvements.
Team Leadership & Coordination (30%)
Lead and mentor a team of Senior Revit Designers and Revit Designers. Provide technical guidance and coaching to enhance team capability. Support task planning, prioritization, and project delivery tracking. Drive quality standards, best practices, and BIM workflows within the team. Facilitate collaboration with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Encourage knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial/Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
6–9 years of experience in Revit family creation, BIM modeling, and your current title as Senior REVIT designer and above. Strong experience in parametric Revit family development. Prior experience in technical leadership, mentoring, or team coordination is preferred.
