[What the role is]
This role sits within the Power System Operation Division (PSOD), which ensures the secure and reliable operation of Singapore’s power system. It supports 24/7 monitoring of the electricity market, generation dispatch, and transmission system, including reporting, data analysis, coordination with power stations, and power system studies.[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities:
To assist the Control Manager in the realtime (24x7) monitoring of the electricity market, generation dispatch and transmission system to ensure the secure and reliable operation of the power system. Duties include:
i. Preparation of advisory notices/ reports for publication in the Electricity Market;
ii. Compilation of operational data for analysis;
iii. Coordinating with power stations on generation dispatch, and
iv. Assisting the Control Manager to perform power system simulation studies.
[What we are looking for]
Requirements:
• Education in Power Engineering background is preferred.
• Relevant work experience in the power sector would be an advantage.
• Able to work both independently and also as a team.
• Candidate is required to perform shift duty.
