The EHS Engineer is responsible for planning and implementing Environmental, Health (EHS) and Safety programs designed to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees and contractors. It includes the implementation of chemical safety and industrial hygiene. He/She oversees and ensures the compliance of the site to regulatory and corporate EHS requirements and goals, and conformance to EHS management standards. He/She will implement programs that will enable continuous improvement. This position is based in Cavite, Philippines, and will report to EHS Sr. Supervisor.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related technical field.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Developing and managing programs ensure site compliance to EHS standards and regulatory requirements, including liaising with government agencies as required.
Establishing programs and procedures to drive first-in-class safety and environmental performance and ensure efficiency in our operations.
Implementing programs for chemical approval, regulatory review and compliance, incident notification & reporting, equipment evaluation & review, and contractor management.
Establishing HIRAC / risk assessment in manufacturing operations and supporting activities
Overseeing or performing industrial hygiene monitoring (air sampling, noise, illumination, and other exposure assessments)
Organizing and performing EHS audits and inspections, and related audit closure programs to ensure compliance to EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
Implementing and participating with various departments on sustainability initiatives to improve performance in GHG reduction, energy and water consumption, and landfill reduction.
Implementing environmental, health and safety awareness through appropriate promotional methods and channels of communication.
Conducting EHS training to employees, contractors and other relevant groups.
Collaborating with the EHS Committee, Emergency Response Team and other representatives/teams from various departments in the implementation of EHS programs.
Conducting incident/accidents investigation, root cause analysis and definition of appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Developing exposure control plans and recommending risk reduction strategies
Provide technical EHS expertise tailored to site-specific requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to implement EHS initiatives.
Analyzing and reporting EHS data (incident rates, sampling results, audit findings, compliance tracking)
