About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced writer–editor to support the production of branded and commercial content across Financial Standard and Money. This role sits at the intersection of editorial craft and commercial delivery. You’ll work closely with editorial, sales, marketing, and research teams to develop, produce, and deliver sponsored and branded content that meets client objectives while maintaining the integrity and quality of our mastheads. This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role. You’ll be directly involved in writing, editing, and shaping feature‑led commercial content, while ensuring delivery is smooth, accurate, and on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be responsible for
Producing and editing branded and sponsored content, including articles, special features, media partnerships, events, and awards‑related deliverables
Writing and editing longform feature content to a high editorial standard
Supporting content workflows by managing schedules, approvals, and deadlines across multiple projects
Translating commercial briefs into engaging editorial content that is on‑brand, on‑brief, and on time
Commissioning and editing external writers where required
Coordinating with media sales, marketing, design, and production teams throughout the content lifecycle
Working with Rainmaker Group’s research team to incorporate relevant proprietary insights into content
Contributing ideas to the evolution of content formats, including native storytelling, multimedia, and emerging content solutions
What success looks like
Consistent delivery of high‑quality branded content that meets editorial and commercial expectations
Strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Reliable management of multiple briefs and deadlines with minimal supervision
Editorial output that engages audiences while supporting commercial outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Journalism, Communications, or any related field.
Has at least 3-5 years of experience writing, editing, or producing branded or commercial content
Has strong longform and feature‑writing skills, with high editorial standards
Has a background in journalism, media, content agencies, branded content studios, or PR/communications with a strong editorial focus
Ability to translate commercial briefs into engaging, high‑quality editorial content
Experience juggling multiple content projects, deadlines, and stakeholders
Hands‑on experience with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) and content workflow tools
A genuine interest in financial services, investing, or consumer finance, or the curiosity to build expertise quickly
SEO knowledge and experience with social, multimedia, video, or podcast content, is a plus.
