Associate Director, Third Party Processes – Clinical Operations

We are looking for a Associate Director, Third Party Processes to join our team.

As the successful candidate you will play a pivotal role in advancing the objectives of Global Clinical Operations by designing and improving innovative third party management processes and models. This position is responsible for ensuring that assigned process areas are effective, efficient, compliant, and work for their end-users while being aligned with GCO’s strategies and ambitions and the higher level Third Party Management framework.

In this role you will:

Management of Third Party Management Processes and/or Third Party Models:

  • Design and maintain third party management (TPM) or outsourcing models to meet GCO’s goals.
  • Ensure TPM processes comply with GSK standards and regulations.
  • Align processes with global TPM strategies in partnership with the Global Process Owner.
  • Oversee TPM through issue tracking, KPIs, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Regularly update TPM standards and guidance documents.

Technology Enablement:

  • Work with R&D Tech and system owners to implement technology supporting TPM efficiency and compliance.

Process Improvements and System Enhancements:

  • Continuously improve TPM processes in line with GCO objectives and industry trends.
  • Suggest enhancements for TPM processes, models, and systems.
  • Lead or support process optimization and innovation projects.

Execution Enablement and Training:

  • Provide end-user support and training on TPM processes.
  • Ensure third parties are properly onboarded, trained, and adhere to GSK SOPs and systems.

Team Collaboration and Development:

  • Collaborate across functions and manage multiple projects.
  • Foster a culture of improvement, teamwork, and excellence.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for a professional with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BSc or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry or a related field with strong expertise in clinical operations and third party management.
  • Expertise in process mapping, modeling, and redesigning workflows to streamline operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage process improvement projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring progress with strong organizational skills to ensure goals are met within tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to clearly articulate process changes and their impact to stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaborator with experience in building networks of partners and stakeholders and broadly engaging with expert communities.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MSc or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
  • Familiarity with methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile for process improvement preferred
  • Demonstrated coaching and people development experience.
