Global Manufacturing comprises a core group of functions that contribute to the production and supply of high-quality products: Engineering; Manufacturing Information & Control Systems; Technology Services/Manufacturing Science; Global Health, Safety and Environment; and Global Supply Chain.
Job Title: Associate Director – Technical Services Manufacturing Science (TSMS)
This role will lead the strategy, implementation, and management of technology solutions that support pharma manufacturing operations. This role encompasses oversight of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Tech Transfer processes, Process Optimization initiatives, and iProcess Health systems. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing to drive operational excellence and ensure robust, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
What you will be doing:
· Technology Strategy & Leadership: Work with global stakeholders to develop and execute the TSMS technology roadmap aligned with manufacturing and business objectives.
· PLM Management: Oversee Product Lifecycle Management systems to ensure seamless integration from product development to commercial manufacturing.
· Tech Transfer Oversight: Lead technology transfer digital initiatives, ensuring smooth knowledge and process transfer from development to manufacturing sites.
· Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement digital initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce risk, and optimize process performance.
· iProcess Health Governance: Ensure monitoring, analytics, and health of manufacturing processes using iProcess Health tools, proactively addressing bottlenecks and operational risks.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance, system integrity, and process excellence.
· Change Management: Lead adoption of TSMS technologies, fostering user engagement and training across global manufacturing sites.
· Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all technology and process initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, GMP) and internal quality standards.
· Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team managing TSMS operations, technology deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualification and Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
· 12+ years of overall experience in the IT Industry with at least 10 years in the pharma industry working with data and minimum 5 years of experience in leading a team including exposure to PLM, Tech Transfer or process Optimization
· Hands-on experience with MuleSoft or similar integration platforms.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, MES, ERP, and LIMS systems.
· Proven experience in leading cross-functional technology teams and driving complex projects.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, EMA) and quality standards.
