Position Responsibilities:
Taking on a multitude of health initiatives related to claim cost sustainability, and underwriting strategy & rule design with the objectives of earnings sustainability and new business value maximization.
Leading the development of innovative medical products and individual and group medical repricing exercises that meet marketing, profitability, and risk management goals.
Developing advanced analytics techniques to provide commercial insights and advice for claim cost sustainability and provider optimization
Working closely with Health Proposition, Provider Management and Health Transformation on health strategy development and delivery as well as provider management strategy and execution.
Required Qualifications:
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability combined with strong technical actuarial skills.
Ability to respond to changing demands from multiple stakeholders and prioritize needs and results while working under deadline pressure.
Strong project management and organizational skills
Experience with health product development and reinsurance would be an asset.
