Purpose of Role
As a part of the Marsh Risk Consulting team in Knowledge Services function, the candidate will support our colleagues in the UK region, with strategic and tactical support to help win new business for Climate & Sustainability practice. The individual will help with sales enablement, participate in the proposal management process and co-author content for proposals, oral presentations, and other pursuit activities.

We will count on you to:
- Develop proposals and respond to requests related to climate change, risk, insurance and development risk finance across private, public and NGO sectors
- Demonstrate relevant experience in bid management and proposal support, with a proven track record of excellence in a consulting organisation.
- Research, write, and edit standard and customized proposal content; review final deliverables for quality, format, and adherence to the firms brand standards. Lead proposal management activities, including coordinating information from contributors and following up on action items to ensure a cohesive team effort.
- Manage tender portal platforms and actively monitor the progress of all proposal response activities to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Review final pursuit collateral for quality, format, and content consistency with the firms brand standards.
- Drive high-impact proposal engagements, incubate new research, data analytics, and benchmarking capabilities, and foster innovation to expand proprietary knowledge assets.
- Be proficient in proposal/project management methodologies, with experience in complex bid management processes for consulting.
- Stay informed on developments in UK/global sustainability legislation.
- Help colleagues develop relationships with key organisations to drive future proposal opportunities.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships through high-quality work delivery, responsiveness, and clear, agile communication. Provide updates to senior leadership, colleagues, and client teams on project scope and relevant documentation.
What you need to have:
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Economics, Business Administration (MBA), Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, Finance, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in consulting and/or bid management and research at leading professional services, or consulting organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal / communication skills, adaptability, cross-functional vision, analytical mindset, curiosity, and the ability to synthesize information. Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
- Experience in proposal and pursuit management, with the ability to execute complex requests at pace.
- Deep understanding of the global consulting marketplace anda strong awareness of regulatory developments, particularly in sustainability areas.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with strong project management skills to prioritize, manage schedules, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- A team player with outstanding interpersonal skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work effectively across various bid response requirements, including proficiency in powerpoint, word and excel
What makes you stand out?
- Experience running bid management processes for public sector procurement
- Strong technical expertise in Climate & Sustainability topics, including physical climate risk, climate change, and net-zero decarbonization, and development risk financing.
- Experience working on bid management within a consultancy would be preferred
- Ability to take initiatives to strive for improvement in sales enablement and proposal management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
