The Associate Director, Network Performance is a Healthcare operations leader with deep expertise in quality improvement across diverse provider networks. Skilled in diagnosing performance gaps using advanced analytics, identifying root-cause drivers, and implementing targeted interventions that improve quality scores, coding accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Adept at understanding the broader organizational strategy and translating complex priorities into clear, actionable direction for a team of associates, ensuring alignment, consistency, and strong execution.

The Associate Director, Network Performance serves as expert to a team on CMS Stars program, HEDIS, CAHPS, HOS. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s) and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates. The Associate Director, Network Performance is responsible for overseeing the performance and reliability of the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves leading a team that monitors network metrics, analyzes performance data, and implements strategies to optimize network speed, stability, and security. The Associate Director collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and deploy network solutions, ensures compliance with industry standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Key contributions

  • Partners closely with senior leadership to develop, refine, and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen provider performance, enhance operational efficiency, and advance enterprise goals. 
  • Leads cross-functional efforts that improve provider engagement, optimize workflows, and elevate overall network performance. 
  • Demonstrates strong communication and influencing skills to align stakeholders, build provider trust, and drive adoption of performance improvement-strategies across matrixed teams.
  • Converts complex data into practical insights and provides coaching that enables teams to solve problems effectively and deliver sustainable improvements that support enterprise performance and member outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience impacting Stars Quality through provider interaction
  • 3 or more years of leadership experience (SME or mentor, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience partnering with leadership on strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to influence others
  • Must live within the region (TN, AL, MS, LA, SW VA)

  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional logic, and data-cleaning techniques
  • Proven relationship building skills with ability to act as a liaison between corporate, market professionals, and providers in the field
  • Solid understanding of the Stars quality landscape within Humana

This role is "remote/work at home", however, you must live within the region (TN, AL, MS, LA, or SW VA) to be considered for this opportunity.

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$115,200 - $158,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
