What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional to join the Wealth Management Business Partner team as a Finance Business Partner. In this role, you will provide critical analytical support to APAC management and the global Performance Management group, driving financial insights that inform strategic decisions. Your core responsibilities will include supporting Global Asset Management (GAM) through the preparation of management accounts, annual budgeting, and forecasting, while also owning the Net Interest Income (NII) revenue reporting process. You will collaborate closely with functional managers to align financial strategies with business objectives, ensuring accuracy and transparency in all financial outputs.

What will you do?

  • Prepare periodic accounts, presentations, and analytical reports for WM Committees and RBC Head Office, including variance analysis and commentary to drive informed decision-making.
  • Conduct cost analysis, monitoring, and control, while proactively identifying and promoting cost-saving initiatives to optimize financial performance.
  • Own the Net Interest Income (NII) revenue reporting process and cooridante with Business leaders
  • Assist in managing indirect expense allocations and reconcile headcount reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Global Asset Management (GAM), collaborating closely with business and functional managers.
  • Provide dedicated support to the Regional CFO, COO, CEO, Operating Committee (OC), and business heads, ensuring financial strategies align with operational goals.
  • Maintain standardized, centralized processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of management reporting.
  • Actively contribute to projects, process enhancements, and change initiatives, fostering innovation and collaboration across the network.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Address additional tasks as needed to support the team’s dynamic priorities.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to excel in a small, close-knit team environment.
  • Industry Expertise: Prior experience within the Financial Services Industry, with a deep understanding of its dynamics and requirements.
  • Financial Credentials: Accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CA) and/or a Degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with EPM tools (e.g., IBM Cognos) and advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
