Role Overview

The Associate Director, Supply Chain Management – Technical Lead for production and scheduling solutions will lead the global design, development, and rollout of advanced production planning and detailed scheduling capabilities. The role partners with the Product Owner, architects, and site leads to drive solution design, ensure successful deployment and adoption across sites.
This position requires deep site planning and scheduling expertise, strong hands-on experience with tools such as Kinaxis Maestro, SAP PP/DS, OMP, or similar ERP/APS systems, and a proven track record leading complex multi-site implementations. The Associate Director will set technical standards, solve complex problems, and ensure solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with broader supply chain and digital strategies.

What will you do in this role:

  • Lead the end-to-end technical design of production planning and detailed scheduling solutions in partnership with the Product Owner, architects, and site leads.
  • Translate business strategy, supply chain objectives, and site planning needs into a coherent technical roadmap and solution architecture for scheduling.
  • Define and enforce design standards, integration patterns, and data models to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability across global deployments.
  • Lead configuration, customization, and technical development of scheduling and site planning applications (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis Maestro), including interfaces, data orchestration, and integrations with ERP, MES, and analytics platforms.
  • Own the technical implementation and rollout of scheduling solutions across global sites, including deployment planning, readiness, cutover, and testing. Serve as primary technical counterpart to the Product Owner, co-owning backlog, prioritization, and releases, while aligning with enterprise, solution, and data architects.
  • Partner with site and supply chain stakeholders to understand requirements, ensure business value, and clearly communicate complex technical topics to all audiences.
  • Lead data driven, cross functional problem solving for complex planning and scheduling issues, analyzing performance to identify systemic constraints and optimization opportunities.
  • Continuously enhance algorithms, configurations, and processes, promoting best practices and reusable components across sites to improve service levels, efficiency, and solution quality.

What should you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of technical solution experience in supply chain, production planning, and site planning, applying MRP, capacity planning, production scheduling, and constraint management concepts.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with advanced planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Kinaxis Maestro, SAP PP/DS, OMP, or similar ERP/APS solutions) and integrations across ERP, APS, MES, and analytics platforms.
  • AI/Agent-based solutions for Supply Chain Planning business needs, including design and automation experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing reports and analytics using Power BI, SQL, and data lake or cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS S3 and related services).
  • Desired: Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for data integration, orchestration, and automation of planning workflows and data processing.
  • Strong experience working within Agile / product-based delivery models, including backlog management, iterative delivery, and release management.
  • A strong leader who works well with different teams, solves tough problems in a clear, logical way, and communicates effectively with senior people to help everyone move in the same direction.
