Position Overview
Apollo's Corporate Solutions group originates and structures complex, bespoke private credit and equity financings across a broad range of sectors, including power & energy, physical and digital infrastructure, consumer, industrials, and defense and government services. The group connects through a firmwide Industry Franchise model, with dedicated origination pods covering approximately 20 sectors globally.
The COO team within Corporate Solutions is responsible for the operational and strategic infrastructure underpinning the group's origination franchise, including deal execution coordination, cross-team process management, senior leadership reporting, Industry Franchise coordination, and long-term origination strategy.
We are seeking an Associate to support the COOs of Corporate Solutions across three primary workstreams: (i) general COO and operating matters, (ii) deal closing and execution support, and (iii) origination strategy and business development.
This is a high-visibility, generalist role suited for a candidate who combines strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to operate across a fast-moving, senior-stakeholder environment. Candidates should have exceptional attention to detail as well as highly developed organizational and time management skills – those who are able to navigate complexity and distill complicated processes and ideas into clear, engaging narratives (through data visualization, graphics, and for live presentation) will be well suited for this position.
COO & Operating Matters
- Support the COOs in managing day-to-day operational priorities across the Corporate Solutions franchise, including cross-functional coordination with Business Management, Legal, and Finance
- Maintain and evolve internal tracking infrastructure including deal pipelines, deployment and fee tracking, sector coverage matrices, team rosters, and Industry Franchise pod reporting
- Prepare materials for senior leadership updates, including deal trackers, portfolio summaries, and briefing documents for the Co-Presidents
- Own follow-up and action item tracking from senior meetings, town halls, and off-sites; coordinate with pod and sector leads to ensure completion
- Support onboarding, staffing processes, and organizational design initiatives as the Corporate Solutions team scales
Deal Closing & Execution Support
- Support live transactions from mandate through close, coordinating across deal teams, counsel, counterparties, advisors, syndication, operations and internal stakeholders as applicable
- Assist with the preparation and quality control of required internal materials, including credit/compliance memos, and deal update presentations
- Track key deal milestones, open diligence items, and closing requirements across
- Manage coordination logistics for diligence calls, management presentations, and external advisor engagements
- Support execution of transactions with government-adjacent elements, including EXIM-backed financings, DoD privatization structures, and CHIPS/IRA program-adjacent opportunities
- Assist in preparation of materials and data sets for both existing and prospective investors, helping coordinate with Apollo’s
Origination Strategy & Business Development
- Assist in developing and refining origination strategy materials for senior management, external partners, and strategic audiences including sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions, and government counterparts
- Conduct sector research and thematic analyses to support coverage prioritization across key verticals including defense, digital infrastructure, semiconductors, and energy transition
- Support the preparation of external-facing presentations, conference materials, and partnership documents in connection with Corporate Solutions business development efforts
- Track competitive dynamics, market activity, and policy developments relevant to Apollo's origination strategy, with particular attention to the intersection of capital markets and U.S. industrial and national security policy
- Assist with the Corporate Partnership Interest Matrix and strategic mapping of hyperscaler, AI lab, and government-adjacent counterparty relationships
Qualifications & Experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, private equity, structured finance, or a related field; experience in a generalist or platform role a plus
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; familiarity with credit, structured finance, or equity transaction documentation preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to distill complex information into clear, executive-ready materials
- Highly organized with strong project management instincts; comfortable managing multiple workstreams and priorities under tight timelines
- Collaborative, low-ego team player with sound judgment and the ability to interact credibly with senior stakeholders
- Interest in or familiarity with government-adjacent financing, defense, semiconductors, or digital infrastructure is a plus but not required
- Bachelor's degree required; additional qualifications in law, public policy, or finance are welcome

Pay Range
$175,000 - $200,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
