Associate Consultant - Competitive Intelligence CoE, GDC, India
Role Purpose:
Deliver and manage ad-hoc research requests (competitive analysis, pipeline
assessment, market assessment, company profiling, product profiling, industry analysis etc.). The role involves integrated desk research, storyboarding, business development support, etc.
Principal Accountabilities
• Operational Responsibilities
o Perform extensive research to build a detailed understanding of the target market, company or opportunity
o Source information based on specific client requirements through
secondary research and IQVIA data sources
o Integrate qualitative and quantitative data and present the analysis in a
structured manner; bring value-added insights to the clients
o Undertake market analysis to include details on the market characteristics such as
▪ market size and growth, prescriptions, days of therapy, patient
types, market share, number of competitors, market trends, market
attractiveness)
▪ competitor characteristics (product characteristics, competitor
marketing strategies, sales force activities, pricing analysis)
o Deliver high quality, client-ready output with minimal supervision; identify risks / issues and escalate to the project leads in a timely manner
• Execution
o Understands and organizes own and other’s activities within project plan·
o Tracks progress of own and others’ deliverables, anticipates obstacles
and manages execution to deliver materials in advance.
o Is flexible to receive scope adaptation and contingency plans; guides
others in best practices of tracking own work, being proactive in raising
issues, and adapting to changes in scope.
o Meets all corporate obligations (e.g. submitting timecards, completing all training on time) for self and guides others.

o Looks for opportunities to make changes and questions conventional work methods. Is prepared to “try out” different solutions or take an unorthodox approach; actively participates in idea generation.
o Identifies changes which will improve performance in own and teams’ work·
o Applies experience and knowledge to identify where modifications to existing approaches are warranted by breaking down the parts of the problem and applying knowledge of what has worked versus not worked in the past.
o Benchmarks proven methodologies (from within and outside of IQVIA) and questions whether those methodologies are applicable or if they can be enhanced for implementation at IQVIA

o Presents confidently internally and listens to and responds effectively to issues and concerns
o Understands when to reference past examples and knows where to locate them (e.g., PPT image bank, previous presentations). Active contribution during meetings
o Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate with different
layers in the organization
• Qualifications
o Graduate/post-graduate degree in Life Sciences from a premier institute
o 2+ years of experience within Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology/ Consulting/ Professional Services Outsourcing company
o Demonstrated hands on expertise in one or more practice areas
o Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
