Job Description:

The Associate, Business Ops assists in the implementation and in maintaining media campaigns and financial stewardship across multiple channels. As an entry level position, the Associate position represents the start of a media career.

This position is essential in the day-to-day tactical and billing management of campaigns. While prior knowledge or work experience in Media is not required, we are looking for candidates that work well in a team environment and demonstrate initiative in assigned projects.

This role will be training-intensive, and we are looking for an active participant, increasing participation over time in the position. We also encourage candidates to contribute ideas and insights that benefit our team and our clients.

As part of the Business Operations team, this role will be a steward of our operations process across all channels and works very closely with assigned Business Operations Sr. Associate, client in-house teams, Finance Operations, and other teams when applicable. 

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Business Operations and Media Execution:

  • Works with Business Ops Associate team to manage all updates to budgets, flighting and other campaign revisions as received by client

  • Assists Sr. Associates in monthly campaign actualizations and billing reconciliation process

  • Understands intricacies of various ad-serving partners

  • Maintains internally used tracking documentation

  • Works with Digital Media Tech team to ensure implementation of tagging and trafficking requirements as necessitated by the campaign

  • Understands general activation capabilities of all available media tactics

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Supports Sr. Associates in preparing and delivering work to clients and colleagues

  • Attends all status meetings when appropriate

  • Maintains day-to-day consultation with Sr. Associate when buy details are concerned (rates/costs, launch timeline etc.)

  • Builds positive relationships with internal and external teams

  • Engages with all work-related contacts in a professional and respectful manner

Strategic Thinking & Leadership:

  • Assesses problems and concerns in a systematic, logical and rational manner

  • Proactively resolves issues, and knows when to escalate to Sr. Associate

  • Provides guidance to team members to nurture/promote team environment

  • Capable of managing multiple deliverables and ability to seamlessly transition among them

  • Writes in a clear, compelling, and succinct manner

  • Organizes ideas and information logically and sequentially

  • Ensures key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 0-2 years of industry experience

  • Strong interest in the media industry

  • Proficient and accurate with numbers and budgets

  • Ability to generate and present well-considered solutions

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual salary range for this position is $39,000 - $42,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
