About the role:

Purpose

This role is accountable for supporting the growth of Premium Scotch brands in Venezuela by:

  • Translating strategy into high-quality execution, ensuring brand plans, campaigns, and activations land with excellence across all relevant consumer touchpoints.

  • Accomplishing 360° initiatives at scale — ATL, digital, experiential, cultural, and out-of-trade — in close partnership with Commercial, CMO, and agency teams.

  • Ensuring strong operational rigor through budget tracking, PO/IO management, asset adaptation, and alignment with governance processes.

  • Adapting global and regional toolkits to the Venezuelan context to strengthen Premiumization, cultural relevance, and brand distinctiveness.

  • Supporting the brand-building process by incorporating consumer, competitive, and execution insights into plans and interventions.

  • Driving a strong focus on digital and out-of-trade execution to ensure the brand remains culturally relevant, engaging, and dynamic across all consumer platforms.

Role Responsibilities:

Market Context

  • The Caribbean, Central America, and Venezuela (CCV) market is a Diageo business unit generating approximately £350m NSV. CCV is the most profitable market in LAC in terms of absolute operating profit and margin.

  • CCV is a highly dynamic market covering 38 countries, multiple languages, and a population of 115m. The operating model is distributor-based RTC with over 40 partners, alongside co-packing partnerships and key innovation and warehousing operations based in Panama.

  • The Scotch category in Venezuela represents approximately 85% of Total NSV, predominantly within the Premium and Super Premium segments.

Decision Making

  • Provides inputs into Brand Plans (MBP), incorporating feedback from the Brand Manager, Head of Whisky & Luxury, Director, and Global Brand Teams (GBT).

  • Recommends and follows up on brand performance interventions.

  • Handles brand A&P in alignment with the Brand Manager, ensuring accuracy, timely PO/IO processing, and effective reallocation based on business needs.

  • Works closely with CMO teams to propose and adapt toolkits, BTL plans, and brand platforms.

  • Ensures cross-functional teams (Culture, Digital, Customer Marketing, Media) are aligned and equipped to complete consistently with the brand plan.

  • Ensures all assets and executions align with brand guidelines, coordinating agencies and suppliers to guarantee consistency and quality.

  • Supervises key projecachievementses to ensure timely and impactful delivery.

  • Actively participates in brand events, ensuring detailed execution aligned with strategic objectives.

Financial Responsibility

  • Accountability for Brand Equity, Share, Volume, and Profit delivery.

  • Supports optimal allocation of A&P investment behind the brand/market, aligned with value KPIs.

  • Monitors and evaluates key activities and resulting investment decisions.

Leadership Responsibility

Although this role has no direct reports, leadership is critical:

  • Demonstrates ownership and decisiveness to deliver plans on time and with high quality.

  • Drives strong storytelling and clear communication to influence and align multifunctional teams.

  • Coordinates a broad ecosystem including Commercial, CMO, Finance, RGM, Legal, Corporate Relations, Agencies, and Distributors to ensure detailed execution.

  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing, simplifying, and advancing barriers when required.

Key Outputs / Deliverables

  • Supports effective brand planning through the MBP process, translating business and category objectives into actionable plans.

  • Chips in to portfolio growth by supporting the Commercial Roadmap and identifying growth levers for assigned variants.

  • Leads execution of culture-based events that strengthen brand relevance and consumer connection.

  • Supports the Brand Manager in delivering impactful ATL execution across media, digital, PR, and experiential platforms.

  • Ensures operational excellence through timely creation of DCH tasks and POs.

  • Supports development of BTL toolkits that drive customer engagement, visibility, and conversion.

  • Enables data-driven decision-making by supervising P&L, market share, brand equity, and sell-out performance, recommending corrective actions.

  • Assists in A&P budget management to improve investment efficiency and measurable impact.

  • Supports the innovation team through execution of pipeline initiatives.

Flexible Working Options

  • Role based in Caracas, Venezuela.

  • Requires travel across the market and internationally (approximately 10%), with effective use of virtual communication tools.

Experience / skills required:

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in consumer marketing.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written).

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and commercial skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Availability to attend late evening events.

  • Ability to move seamlessly between critical thinking and executional detail.
