  • Oversee the architecture, development, and operation of robust identity management systems, including Identity Data Fabric, access governance, authentication, and authorization services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—security, engineering, business, and compliance—to embed identity best practices into all business and engineering processes.

  • Champion the integration of modern authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM) and Zero Trust principles across the organization.

  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance identity lifecycle management, provisioning, and deprovisioning.

  • Monitor, measure, and report on key risk and performance indicators (KRIs and KPIs) to ensure alignment with business and security objectives.

  • Stay abreast of evolving threats, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to proactively mitigate identity-related risks.

  • Represent the identity engineering function in customer, regulator, and stakeholder engagements, articulating security value and building trust.

Key Deliverables

  • A resilient, scalable, and unified identity management platform that enables secure and seamless user access across the enterprise.

  • End-to-end integration of identity security objectives into product and business lifecycles, tracked by clear OKRs.

  • Implementation of continuous monitoring and control processes to maintain security standards and audit readiness (e.g., SOC2).

  • Consistent delivery of strategic projects that automate and optimize identity processes, reducing manual effort and risk.

  • Development and retention of top cyber talent, cultivating a learning and high-performance environment.

Desired Skills

  • Proven leadership in managing and developing high-performing technical teams, especially in identity or security engineering.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise identity and access management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint, Ping Identity).

  • Solid understanding of identity data architectures, identity federation, and integration of cloud/on-premise systems.

  • Expertise in authentication and authorization frameworks and protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, SCIM).

  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience architecting and implementing Identity Data Fabrics or similar unified identity data platforms.

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and modern security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).

  • Background in data analytics and correlating large identity datasets for actionable security outcomes.

  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices, security automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with legal, compliance, and audit teams to achieve risk and regulatory goals.

  • Track record of innovation in identity, security, or automation initiatives.

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in identity engineering, cybersecurity, or IT with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.

  • Deep intellectual curiosity, humility, and a relentless drive for process improvement and automation.

  • Inspirational leadership style—able to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent while building a mission-driven team.
