Assoc. Dir , Technology Partnership

USA - New Jersey - Rahway Full time

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven technology lead to serve as Associate Director, Business Technology Partnership for the North America region within the Animal Health Commercial IT organization. This person will support the commercial organization (sales and marketing) in the US and Canada across various business units, enabling the business strategy through the delivery of technology solutions.   The ideal candidate excels at navigating complex, matrixed organizations, connecting people and capabilities, prioritizing value-based investments, and driving adoption and measurable commercial impact across an Animal Health ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain high-trust relationships across commercial functions (sales, marketing, customer engagement, eCommerce, and omnichannel) and with global and regional IT partners.

  • Influence and execute on a cohesive regional business–IT strategy that advances commercial objectives.

  • Lead design, prioritization and delivery of technology solutions that support regional commercial initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory, compliance and data governance requirements.

  • Maintain current and forward-looking knowledge of commercial technologies (including master data, CRM, marketing technology stack including eCommerce platforms, and analytics/AI-enabled solutions) and surface opportunities that improve customer engagement, experience and revenue outcomes.

  • Drive adoption and utilization of solutions implemented within the region, and work with IT product line leaders and delivery teams to build efficient, scalable solutions and promote continuous improvement and innovative approaches so you can drive value for the business.

  • Support business case development and manage regional demand intake, portfolio planning, prioritization and forecasting across North America initiatives; ensure transparent, value-based prioritization of work.

  • Define and monitor success metrics (KPIs) for solution adoption, customer engagement, revenue impact and operational efficiency.

  • Facilitate demand aggregation and resource sharing across programs to optimize delivery and maximize return on investment.

  • Partner with Finance and global IT portfolio management to track costs, manage budgets and deliver to financial commitments.

  • Advocate for reuse of platform capabilities and drive awareness and adoption of enterprise solutions across the region.

  • Facilitate collaborative relationships with internal and external IT partners, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective solution delivery.

Success Profile — What Great Looks Like

  • Strong ability to bridge business strategy and IT capability: translates commercial needs into prioritized, value-based initiatives and achievable delivery plans.

  • Influence and leadership without direct authority: shapes decisions, motivates cross-functional teams and secures senior stakeholder alignment.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving solution adoption, business readiness and measurable outcomes.

  • Strategic thinker who executes pragmatically — combines long-term vision with operational discipline to deliver results.

  • Collaborative leader who fosters inclusion, perspectives and integrity across a complex Animal Health ecosystem.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 + years of progressive IT experience supporting commercial, sales & marketing, and/or supply chain processes and systems — ideally within life sciences, animal health, agriculture, or related industries.

  • Proven experience partnering with stakeholders and building trusted relationships that influence strategy and investment decisions.

  • Prior experience managing teams of account managers, business analysts or architects in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong portfolio, demand and financial management experience — comfortable managing budgets, forecasts and prioritization across complex portfolios.

  • Working knowledge of marketing technology stacks, analytics/AI-enabled solutions and commercial platforms.

  • Experience with software development lifecycle, Agile delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to operate effectively across national boundaries and multi-disciplinary teams.
