Key Responsibilities:
1.Project and data management initiatives:
•Oversee the creation and maintenance of a master database for subscription lines, NAV and asset-based facilities in addition to a firm wide wallet share and legal fee tracking database, ensuring accuracy and clarity
•Lead implementation of 3rd party workflow management software
•Liaise with data management, information solutions to automate as much of the work as possible
•Prepare internal and external presentations and reports on time, with accuracy and clarity
2.Transaction execution and structuring of subscription line, NAV loan facilities:
• Partner with the internal teams to gather information and prepare materials to ensure productive investment team meetings throughout the process
•Coordinate with lenders, external counsel and internal teams (accounting, legal, finance, investment teams, tax, KYC) to facilitate transaction documentation and compliance with key controls throughout the process
•Continually monitor facilities and recommend upsizing or downsizing as appropriate
•Maintain standard operating procedure documents and escalate when standard execution processes are not being followed
•Monitor industry trends and research to inform actionable financing strategies and help strengthen Oaktree’s position within the private capital markets
3.Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders:
• Serve as internal contact for fund finance inquiries from portfolio managers, relationship managers, legal, investment team professionals, fund accounting, Treasury and KYC teams
Qualifications:
•10-12yrs experience, Background in investment banking, finance, capital markets and funding is a plus
•Outstanding analytical and project management skills
•Ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, while independently driving projects to completion
•Expertise at preparing and reviewing complex financial models and PowerPoint decks
Personal Attributes:
•The individual must have exceptional financial modeling skills and be very advanced in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/Python/Database experience is prefer
•The successful candidate must demonstrate considerable initiative and be a self-starter with an ability to close out tasks quickly and accurately
•The candidate must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• The individual will be team-oriented and collaborative and must possess strong integrity and professionalism
• Ability to interface with different stakeholders and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
