Van Andel Institute

Assistant Research Technician

Van Andel Research Institute Full time

Van Andel Institute (VAI), a world-class biomedical research institute, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is dedicated to improving human health. We are pioneers in the fight against cancer, Parkinson's, and other diseases. We are committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists and educators.

The Van Andel Institute (VAI) laboratory of Dr. Maulik Patel is seeking to hire an Assistant Research Technician to be a key part of our research team. Our research focuses on how cells maintain mitochondrial homeostasis and the consequences that occur when these processes break down. Understanding mitochondrial homeostasis is crucial, as mitochondrial dysregulation is a hallmark of many diseases and the aging process. Additionally, the Patel Lab boasts a supportive research environment and has a strong track record of training early-career scientists for their next steps, including graduate and medical school. More information can be found at https://patellab.vai.org/
